Fidel Lozano is the Head Instructor at Gracie Jiu-Jitsu Boulder, bringing a unique combination of martial arts expertise, psychology, and education to his teaching approach. With over 20 years of experience in martial arts, including Tae Kwon Do (black belt), Aikido, MMA, and over 10 years training Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, Fidel is a certified Gracie Jiu-Jitsu instructor under Ryron and Rener Gracie and currently holds a purple belt in Gracie Jiu-Jitsu.

Beyond martial arts, Fidel holds a degree in Social Psychology, Master in Psychology and specializes in Training and Development, with 15 years of experience designing and delivering training programs. He has worked in special education, supporting students with diverse learning needs in the Boulder Valley School District. His background also includes serving as a Victim Advocate with the Boulder County Sheriff’s Office, providing critical support to individuals affected by violent crime.

Fidel is bilingual in English and Spanish and holds certifications in First Aid and Crisis Prevention (CPI). His approach to teaching Gracie Jiu-Jitsu integrates self-defense, personal growth, and community support, ensuring a safe, inclusive, and empowering experience for all students.
